CC#30 Only Bitcoin deserves your attention.

Hi, a lot has happened since the last release, for example, meme coins have become popular again. Since my introduction to cryptocurrencies in 2016, even more has occurred, but the cryptocurrency market hasn't improved.

  1. Bitcoin hasn't become digital gold. In fact, there are now attempts to make Bitcoin functional for minting NFTs and storing information, which I don't understand. The only explanation could be that miners want fees to increase and more transactions to occur, but this could potentially harm Bitcoin.

  2. The Ethereum merge happened, which wassupposed to reduce transaction costs, but transactions still cost around $10-50 in fees.

  3. The Web3 world hasn't fully materialized. DeFi hasn't replaced traditional banks, and NFTs haven't replaced traditional art. Mass adoption of cryptocurrencies hasn't happened.

A notable negative event is the emergence of Binance, which dictates terms to everyone else.

But the worst part is that many active cryptocurrency users now consider cryptocurrencies as gambling rather than a serious tool that can change the world. They simply earn money from meme coins without considering the future and the real essence of the technology, and that is very sad.

I'm disappointed in Ethereum and Vitalik Buterin. I'm frustrated with crypto degenerates who, through meme coins, prevent me from easily paying for services in Ether. But I accept the rules of the game:

I've decided to abandon diversification and keep only Bitcoin in my portfolio. To offset losses in value, I've decided to start gambling again.
